Orders and Returns

&nbsp

When you order on our website and your payment has been successfully processed, you will be shown an Order Confirmation page with a unique order number. We will then send you an Order Confirmation email with details of your order. If you do not receive this email, please check your spam filter. If you cannot find this email after a period of time, please call us on 01494 720 451 so we can check if your order was received with a successful payment.

&nbsp

We are unable to make amendments to your order once it has been placed as we automatically fast-track your order through to our warehouse, but you may be able to cancel your order and place a new one instead. If you would like to cancel your order you have a limited amount of tine after placing your order to do so, please call us on 01494 720 451 as soon as possible so we can intercept your order. If we are unable to cancel your order in time, don't worry as you can always return your items to us for a full refund.

&nbsp

When we despatch your order, you will receive and Order Despatch Notification email that will include a delivery tracking link, so you can keep tabs on the status of your order. Our carrier service may also contact you by SMS text message to provide an estimated delivery slot on the day of delivery.

&nbsp

If you are unavailable at the property when our carriers arrive to deliver your order, they will attempt to leave your order in a safe place or with a neighbour. If no suitable place can be found then they will return your order to their depot and contact you to arrange an alternative delivery slot. If there is a failure to arrange an alternative delivery slot or the order could not be delivered for any other reason, the order will be returned to us and we will contact you to arrange redelivery or refund.

&nbsp

Should you change your mind or you have ordered the wrong products, you have 28 days from the day of receipt of your order to return the products for a refund as long as they are in a resalable condition and in the original packaging. See our Returns page for further information. If your product is faulty, please call us on 01494 720 451 to arrange a free return or refund.

&nbsp

If you are returning a product which is not faulty or damaged, and you have had a change of mind or you have ordered the wrong products, then you are liable for the delivery charge to return the item to us. If your product is faulty or damaged we will send you a postage label so that you can send it back to us free of charge.

&nbsp

We will process your refund once the product has been returned to us and checked by our specialist; this can take up to 14 days. Refunds can only be issued to the original payment method that was used.

Lighting Questions

&nbsp

We provide a useful Lighting Fixture Size Guide which explains how to size and place your lighting fixtures in any room.

&nbsp

Typically, we don't include light bulbs with our fittings, but we do recommend suitable light bulbs in our Frequently Bought Together section on each product page. Complete the look with our recommendations and create your perfect lighting combination.

&nbsp

Lumens (lm) is the measure of brightness of a light source - typically 470lm = 40W, 806lm = 60W, 1055lm = 75W and 1521lm = 100W.

&nbsp

Colour temperature is a measure on the Kelvin (K) scale and indicates how 'warm' or 'cool' the colour of light is, the higher the number, the cooler the light. We recommend warm white (2700K - 3000K) for living rooms and bedrooms, cool white (4000K) for kitchens and bathrooms, and daylight (6000K - 6500K) for rooms that need to be filled with natural outdoor light, such as hallways or reception rooms.

&nbsp

Ingress Protection (IP) ratings are a measurement of how much dust and water can penetrate a light fitting. For indoor rooms, a rating of IP20 is suitable, but for humid areas (kitchens of bathrooms) a rating of IP44 is the minimum requirement, while outdoor lights should be rated at IP45, or IP65.

&nbsp

If your property is a commercial property, a new build or a rented property then you need to install fire-rated downlights if there is living accommodation above the room where the downlight is installed.

&nbsp

For your safety, bathrooms can be separated into zonal areas, and only light fittings with the correct zone rating should be installed in these areas. Zone 0 - inside the bath or shower, Zone 1 - above the bath or shower, Zone 2 - an area up to 60cm outside the bath, shower or sink. Please refer to our product specifications to find the correct bathroom zone rating.

&nbsp

The most common reason is that the light has been installed on a dimmer circuit, but the dimmer switch is not LED compatible. Please see our range of fantastic LED compatible dimmers to find a stylish solution.
